Saint Marina of Antioch (also known as Saint Margaret in the West) was a 3rd-century virgin martyr renowned for her courage and faith. Raised as a Christian in pagan Antioch, she refused to renounce Christ or marry a Roman official, choosing instead to remain dedicated to God.

She was tortured and imprisoned, and according to tradition, while in prison she was attacked by a demon in the form of a dragon, which she defeated through prayer and the sign of the Cross. Eventually, she was beheaded for her faith.

Her feast day is celebrated on July 17, and she is especially venerated as a protector of women and children, and as a saint who brings strength in times of spiritual struggle.
